Personal note from Daughter Tona Bell

My dad lived a very full life. Full of fun, mischief and adventure. He traveled the world and never met a stranger. The silent type, he always had a one liner that pretty much summed up any situation. His zen outlook was calming and profound. He had a very big heart and was kind. He loved down to earth people and told it like it was. He loved a good burger, stilton cheese and diet cokes. He had a mild case of type 2 diabetes because he never met a candy he didn't love. In the end his kidney's gave up but his sense of humor never did.

A perpetual student he played piano, was an aspiring watercolor artist and was learning the ukelele.

He loved room service and

Favorite movies: American Graffiti, Grease, Blade Runner, Star Wars, The Godfather, Soylent Green and Paris Texas. A Britbox fan, he loved: Poirot, Miss Marple, Are You Being Served and Good Neighbors the most. Growing up in the 50s, old time radio and Leave It To Beaver always the most enjoyable.

He enjoyed Roy Orbison, The Doobie Brothers and Jimmy Buffet. Linda Ronstadt and Alison Krauss. and many others too long to list here. Listen to My Old Man's playlist here: https://open.spotify.com/play…
