Damon Thomas Jr., known  by many as "Dee, passed away on August 16, 2025. Born on September 4, 1955, Damon lived a full life on his terms.

Damon's humorous "don't take no mess" spirit and  personality will be profoundly missed. The memories he created will continue to live on through his loving daughter, Tanya Thomas, and other members of his family. Damon who was a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY enjoyed reading espionage books, movies , and sports especially basketball and football. He spent most of his life with lifelong partner Cynthia Diane Thomas for over 40yrs. He will be remembered by all those that knew and loved him. 

Damon is survived by his lifelong partner Cynthia D. Thomas; daughter, Tanya G. Thomas; brother, Mark Thomas; sister, Cheryl Thomas; granddaughter, Destinee M. Mercedez, as well as extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Damon & Gloria Thomas; daughter, Kenya N. Thomas;  sisters, Loretta Thomas, Karen Thomas; brother, Clinton Elting; granddaughter, Dejanae M. Merritt.

Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the many phone calls, texts and condolences from close family and friends. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
