Damien Francis Merle LeGassisck, three years old, of Pekin, passed away at 3:53 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022, in Pekin, Illinois, after being tragically struck by a motor vehicle. He was born April 12, 2018, in Quincy, Illinois, to Michael Francis and Jessie Mae (Deiman) LeGassick.

Surviving is his parents, his little brother, Alexander LeGassick; maternal grandmother, Marsha Buss of East Peoria; paternal grandmother, Raquel Petrochilos of California; paternal grandfather, Charles (Vicky Ann Montes) LeGassick of Texas and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Deiman.

Damien loved to pretend he was cooking and loved acting like a cat. Like any other toddler, Damien also loved playing with trucks, dinosaurs, and his puppies. He will be mostly be remembered for his compassionate heart and constantly worrying about others. Damien's greatest joy was being a big brother to Alex.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin, Illinois.
