On behalf of my family, I convey our sincere condolence to the family of our dear brother who slept inthe Lord. May Almighty God send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit to be with all those he left behind to mourn his death and our Church family.
Death is an inevitable debt all mortals must pay, but our in-law Barr. Damian Anurukem transiting at this point in time when we were warming up for a robust and mutually beneficial in-law relationship is disheartening and painful.
But we cannot question the Almighty. We therefore pray that God grant the Anurukem family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.

Iyk Nnadoro
In this sorrowful time, I extend my heartfelt condolence.

May our Lord comfort the entire family and loved ones

We are consoled because we know that God has assigned him to watch over us.

May the soul of Uncle Dami rest in peace.
Nda Demian was my Godfather and i loved so much.
He gave me a job and housed me when it seemed my prayers were bouncing back at me, and the divine seemed delected, and all i could hear was myself.
His patience, kindness, courage and generosity were too great to qualify.
I pray that the ceaseless joy that flows from the lord strengthen his family.
May his gentle soul rest in peace amen...
Damian Anurukem was forever soft-spoken and a peacemaker like his elder brother Adolphus and younger sister Eugenia qualities probably inherited from their very gentle mother Veronica (Mama Veronica) who loved children.
We all grew up together and went to elementary school together in the 1950s in Ezeogba, Emekuku, Owerri, Nigeria – Philip Aguh, CSSp, the late former Superior of the Holy Ghost Fathers in Nigeria, a veritable Saint, Damian Ikechukwu Anurukem, Paschal Dozie, and myself, S. Okechukwu Mezu. Damian was the only one of us listed that did not attend the Catholic Seminary, Holy Ghost Juniorate, Ihiala, Nigeria. All four of us had different personalities yet a lot in common. Damian was self-effacing, measured, determined and respectful of others. Damian inherited neither land nor wealth from his father Daniel Anurukem who died when Damian was very young. That bereavement seems to have affected his life. A truism to say that he was a self-made man. He studied in London and later came back to Lagos, Nigeria where he worked as the Company Secretary of Nitel, the then telecommunications company of Nigeria in the 1990s. A quiet citizen, a dutiful husband and loving father, he lived a full and successful life, did his duties to family, friends and his country and has now returned to his maker. My wife, Dr. Rose Ure Mezu, myself and our children send our heartfelt condolences to Damian’s wife Comfort and to Damian’s children and grandchildren. Weep not for we know that his soul is resting peacefully in the bosom of his Maker.
Eternal rest grant onto Uncle Damian Anurukem oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him may he rest in peace Amen. May the Lord console the family Amen.
The entire Onyekuru family send our sincere condolences to the Anurukem's family particularly to the wife, Mrs Comfort Anurukem and her children. Your loss is irreparable but God Almighty has a way of fixing your broken hearts like no man could. You will always take solace in the fact that your husband and father is resting with the Lord in Heaven. I know this for a fact, people as kind and gentle as your husband and father, have no where else to go but to the Lord in Heaven. I am yet to see a kinder, and a more gentle husband, father, and inlaw than nda Damion Anurukem. May his soul rest in perfect peace Amen. And may the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen. God is able.
Ezem Basil Onyekuru,

Uncle Damian, May your soul rest in perfect peace, may God bring us all his peace and consolation that surpasses all understanding, Amen and Amen
Amauche and Ada's dad was a very thoughtful man, inspiring in his ways. I had the privilege of meeting him during Amauche's marrital process.

He was gentle, kind and considerate. This is a big loss to all of us. We will miss him dearly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family during this difficult moment. I pray for comfort for his wife and children. May his soul rest in peace.

Papa was fun to be with. He had a great sense of humour and intelligence. He loved the Lord and his legacy lives on. We mourn but we do so in hope for we know it is not Goodbye but Good night for we shall be reunited with papa on the resurrection morning when he shall hear the trumpet call of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to go home in glory. May God continue to comfort his immediate family, extended family, church family and family friends in Jesus' name, Amen. It is well! Psalms 116:15.
