LIL V's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Damian "LIL V" Alverez. Born on October 4, 2009, his life was tragically cut short on February 22, 2025. Known affectionately as LIL V, his spirited presence will be missed by all who knew him.
LIL V was known for his expansive palate, enjoying all foods with a particular soft spot for Sprite. Music touched a special place in his heart, with "It's Your Friend I Like" by James Wood often filling his home. His love for art was unique, finding beauty in the raw and expressive nature of graffiti.
A devoted fan of the Packers, he found solace and community in the world of sports. His appreciation for his local community shone through his love for Montwood Park and Las Lomas Park, spaces he frequented often. His favorite vacation spot was Burwood, a place that brought him peace and happy memories.
LIL V was defined by his meaningful relationships and invested deeply in causes close to his heart, particularly those involving his friends and family. Shy at first, his true character was marked by an energetic humor once he felt comfortable. His favorite color, blue, mirrored this calm and warm spirit.
A testament to his wisdom beyond his years, LIL V often shared his belief in the importance of family, advising all to keep them close no matter what. Despite his young age, he wore many hats incredibly well, taking pride in his roles as an amazing friend, loving uncle, supportive cousin, responsible older brother, and dutiful son.
His life, though short-lived, was generously lived. His kindness and generosity have left a lasting legacy that will be carried in the hearts of those he touched. LIL V's memory will forever reside at 15 Grace St, the beloved place he called home and the site of countless shared moments and cherished memories. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends during this time of loss.
