Dalia's obituary
Dalia Almaguer, 51, of Weston, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones.
Dalia was a devoted mother, aunt, daughter, and cherished family member who was loved by so many. Known for her unwavering kindness, she touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Dalia’s love for her family was evident in everything she did. She is survived by her children: her oldest son, Domingo Allen, 19; Loren Underwood, 18; Rumour Underwood, 17; her adopted daughter, Chelsea Blunk, 27, whom she lovingly helped raise as her first child; and her stepdaughter, Skylynne Underwood, 23. She is also survived by her mother, Dominga Almaguer of Weston, Ohio, and her cherished siblings: Javier Almaguer of Grand Rapids, Ohio; Juan Jr. (Guadalupe) Almaguer of Weston, Ohio; and Jamie (Jessica) Almaguer of Napoleon, Ohio. All of her children, her mother, and her siblings were held close to her heart, and she was deeply proud of each one.
Dalia was also known for her incredible cooking skills. Her meals were always made with love, and they became the center of many family gatherings. Whether it was a holiday meal or a simple weeknight dinner, Dalia’s cooking brought people together and created memories that will be cherished forever.
Outside of her role as a mother, aunt, and daughter, Dalia was a vibrant and caring individual who radiated warmth and generosity. She was a pillar of strength for her family and friends, always there to lend a helping hand and a listening ear.
Dalia is preceded in death by her father, Juan Almaguer; her only sister, Delia Warren; her cherished firstborn son, Jerrid Stricklen; and her first husband, Richard Raudebaugh. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, family, and kindness, which will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in January 2025 to honor Dalia’s memory and the beautiful life she lived. Further details will be shared with family and friends in the coming weeks.
