On the evening of Sunday, August 18th, 2024 Varina resident Dale Stevenson Lewis (71) left this Earth for Heaven after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Dale, a former Marine & Naval Officer never stopped fighting for another day with those he cherished most surviving multiple health scares over the last 26 years. Dale is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cynthia F. Lewis, two sons Daniel L. Lewis (Jennifer) & Shawn S. Lewis (Alyse) as well as grandchildren; Lakyn H. Lewis, Ryne H. Lewis, Jeremiah A. Puffenbarger and Jacob W. Puffenbarger as well as his sister Valerie Headley (Henry). He is preceded in death by his mother Miriam M. Lewis, father Donald E. Lewis, Sr. and brother Donald E. Lewis, Jr.. Family and friends were everything to Dale and he was everything to them.

A ‘Celebration of Life’ is to be held at the American Legion on October 20th, 2024 from 1-3 PM at 1717 Old Hanover Road, Sandston, VA 23150.
