I sure miss you, Dale!!   We've got some bad managers who could use a taste of Dale Hart's philosophy!    I hope you are organizing and keeping things straight up there!!   I hope you are resting in peace!!
I can't believe it's been two years since you left us.  I miss your passion everyday as Letter Carriers face daily challenges.  I am forever grateful for your strength and unity.   There was never a dull moment when you were around and NO Letter Carrier every had to worry about you having their back.  I wish we could clone you!!   I know you've organized the angels!!

2006, National Convention 2006 (Cocktail Hour-Retiring Officers Dinner)
At the reception prior to the Retiring Officers Dinner at the Las Vegas 2006 National Convention, I made a wager with Dale Hart. Dale was a big San Francisco Giants' Fan and I am a Los Angeles Dodgers' fan. We were talking about Willie McCovey's debut with the Giants in 1959 and Dale said that Willie had gone 3 for 4 off Hall of Fame pitcher, Robin Roberts, in his debut. I knew that Willie had gone 4 for 4 and corrected Dale.  Dale was enjoying a snort of scotch and he was adamant in his recollection. I asked him if he would like to place a wager on the matter. I tried to get him to bet $100 but he would only agree to $10. I never did collect that $10 from Dale. Rest in Peace Brother Dale Hart, you will be missed.

In September 2007, Branch 411 San Bernardino played this short video presentation at the monthly union meeting in gratitude of the much appreciated work Dale Hart had done for Branch 411 and the entire region he represented.

DALE HART … was a great person, a great  union man, Brother & Friend … and a very unique individual that ALWAYS found time for the ‘little guys’.  No matter how high he ascended on the NALC State, Regional & National Level  elected positions … He NEVER came off that he was above anyone else.  He never wavered in his support for Letter Carriers, workers everywhere, Unionism  & Justice.  DALE HART was a very unique stalwart of the union movement, mixing detailed , hard hitting vocalization with his witty sense of humor.  💐🤝🤝🤝🙏🏻🤝🤝🤝💐
I was so sorry to hear about Dale's passing. He was such a charismatic  and objective person.  He accepted life as it was, stood proud and strong in the toughest situation[s].  Great teacher and mentor.  Proved his strength after his accident, he accepted his condition and never looked back.  Just a great man and person.  God Bless him...
Our Deepest Sympathy and Condolences from all the officers and members of NALC Branch 737 to the Hart family. Dale Hart was a great leader and a mentor to all of us. You will be truly missed. Phillip Capuano NALC Branch 737
Dale was a great teacher and even better as a fantastic friend. I will miss him as a very important friend I had.

My deepest condolences to family, colleagues and friends of Dale. My friendship with Dale goes back to the early 90's. He was an amazing advocate for Letter Carrier rights. We had many debates/discussions while I served on the Dispute Resolution Team. Rest in Paradise my friend 🙏
Dale, you will be greatly missed.  All of us in region one are standing on your shoulders.
The most fun I ever had with Dale was sitting in the Sportsbook at the old Las Vegas Hilton and betting on horse races, which I knew absolutely nothing about. But my horse usually came in before Dale's.   We spent many an afternoon there.
A sad day and a sad thing to hear. Dale you will be missed by us here at Branch 70 and by me especially. You were a great mentor to me when I was doing Arbs and I still use what you taught me till this day.  And there are many in Region 1 who have benefited from your knowledge and wisdom, three that are National Officers right now.  All of us who trained under you are grateful for you.  And Oh the stories we could tell. I pray that you are in paradise today my Brother. RIP

So sorry to learn of Dale’s passing.  He was our National Business Agent and and fierce advocate for letter carriers.  My deepest condolences to Jeremy.

RIP Brother Dale from the Flag City Letter Carriers, Branch 143 Findlay, OH.

Dale was someone who had so much passion for the Letter Carriers of this nation. I got the opportunity to work with him directly when he was the National Business Agent of Region 1 of the NALC.

I remember there were days where I would hear him yelling on the phone, slamming it down and papers flying out of his office down the hallway, then the next minute he would say "come on Darcie let's go to lunch".

Now anyone that knows Dale knows that riding in a car with him is taking a risk.  But every time he said "let's go to lunch" I would. The knowledge he gave me during these lunch meetings is something you cannot get anywhere else.

There was something special about Dale. He truly cared about each and every carrier. He didn't care what people thought about him. He was brash and upfront, but that's what I respected about him the most. You knew where he was coming from every single day.

His passion for our great union was something I loved so much. His passing is devastating for me. RIP Dale, enjoy your double Johnny Walker wherever you are.
