Dale Edward Filkin, 76, of Independence, MO, passed away on December 19, 2023. Born on April 23, 1947, Dale was a dedicated family man and a loving husband to Vicki Filkin for 32 years. He was a man of many interests and had a deep passion for model trains and animals. Dale's kind and nurturing nature extended beyond his pets as he also stepped up to help raise one grandson and any others who needed his guidance.

Dale proudly served in the Army for 4 years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.

Dale is survived by his wife, Vicki Filkin, and their two stepchildren, Jim (Julia) Harryman and Tina Levin. He was a beloved grandfather to Christian (Mary) Ramos, Brett (Laramie) Harryman, and Reese (Sara) Harryman and baby ozzy. Dale also leaves behind two sisters, Carolyn Bright and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his parents.
