Dale's obituary
Dale Richard DeLine (1957-2025)
With heavy hearts the family of Dale Richard DeLine, age 67, announces his passing in Henderson, Nevada on Monday, March 10, 2025. Born to Lois Kathryn DeLine(Hoven) and Alfred Emanuel DeLine on April 27, 1957 in Los Angeles, California, he lived a fulfilled life defined by hard work, steadfast loyalty, and unconditional love.
Raised in Downey, Dale had a strong affinity for sports, learning, and ingenuity. Following in his father’s footsteps he ran track and cross country in high school. A firm believer in secondary education he made his attempt at continuing his own American Dream in college but stifled by serious illness, he was forced to put college on an indefinite hold. Upon recovering he was forced to join the workplace out of necessity. Years later his American Dream rekindled when he met his future wife Liz and they started a beautiful family together. With a stable career and a family to care for, he made the tough decision to uproot everyone and relocate with his employer to Henderson, Nevada. Dale took great pride in his over two decade long tenure as a specialty transportation purchaser, the many years working as a utility specialist, as well as the twenty years of blue-collared work he dedicated to In-N-Out Burger, where he was able to retire from last year.
Dale had an array of interests that brought him joy. He enjoyed watching most sports but most notably: golf, football, and cycling. He lived for the camaraderie of brewing and enjoying craft beverages with friends. He continually learned ways to express himself through music, films, and photography. His curious appreciation for history often led him to explore the past through mountains of audiobooks from the local library . Supporting his kids and grandkids with their own passions and pursuits was a great source of his own happiness and something he always made time for. Dale’s compassion, loyalty, and devotion to family were the cornerstones of his character. Although he is no longer with us in person, his spirit lives on through the countless experiences and memories we shared with him.
He was a devoted husband to his late wife Elizabeth “Liz” DeLine (Peterson). He is survived by his children Christopher, Alyssa, and Ashley; his grandchildren Dylan, Adeline, Hannah, Faith, and Justice; his mother Lois DeLine; and his brothers Bruce and Doug DeLine. He also leaves behind his long time partner Tara, his extended family, and many dear friends whose relationships he’s cultivated over a lifetime. Rest Easy, Dale. You will be deeply missed.
Services will be held at a later date in his hometown of Downey, California. Details to follow.
