Unfortunately these unexpected costs weren't planned for ahead of time. The cost of my sister traveling across country on a whim, both of us missing two weeks of work, paying for the upcoming funeral and related travel expenses, insurance claims etc. has obviously put tremendous financial and emotional strain on our family.
