Dale's obituary
Dale A. Dehnert, 72 of Johnson Creek, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Alden Estates in Jefferson.
Dale was born on November 9, 1950, in the Town of Summit, WI, the son of Edward and Delores (Leigh) Dehnert, Sr. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1971 and married Fern Schaller on December 3, 2004, in Jefferson. Dale was a farmer for the majority of his working years, but also was employed at various manufacturing operations in the area. Dale loved animals and had a deep appreciation for music, especially Gospel, Country, and Polka music. Dale and Fern attended many Gemuetlichkeit Days Festivals together and enjoyed watching sports, both in person and on television. In his younger days, Dale enjoyed time outside fishing. Recently, Dale and Fern have been attending Real Hope Community Church in Lake Mills. Dale loved to joke and his remembered for his generosity to others. He was a loving and caring person, who kept to himself, and will be greatly missed.
Dale is survived by: his wife Fern Dehnert of Johnson Creek; siblings Ken (Carol) Dehnert of Jefferson, Patricia Appenfeldt of Watertown, Bonnie Grace of Cambridge, Brenda Appenfeldt of Madison, Wayne (Pam) Dehnert, and Daniel Dehnert both of Idaho; and his step-son Travis Vitense of Lake Mills. He is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parent, and brothers Edward Jr. and Phillip.
A graveside service will be held in the near future at the Chapel at Glenview Memorial Gardens of Ixonia with Pastor Craig Legel of Real Hope Community Church presiding. Dale will be laid to rest following the service.
