Thank you very much to all who donated. We more than doubled our goal, so we will have plenty of money to build the bench and give a good sized donation to the Warrenville Fire Department Auxiliary. We met with the Warrenville Park District and settled on Cerny Park for the memorial bench. The city recently received a large grant to update the park, so we will be waiting to install the bench until after phase 1 of construction is complete. More details on specific location and time of park reopening will be provided once design is finalized and they begin construction in early 2025. The plan is to have her bench near the pavilion and new ADA-compliant playground that will be installed.
