Cindy's obituary
Cynthia "Cindy" Rice, 67, of Lake Jackson, TX, passed away on October 02, 2022 after a battle with a neurological degenerative disease.
Cindy was born on February 2nd, 1955 to Johnny Earl Prince and Billie Sue Booth in Fort Worth,TX. After graduating from Western Hills High School in 1973. In 1981, she met Glen Rice, and they wed in 1983, going on to have 3 children, Jeremy Glen Rice, Sean Alan Rice, and Jamie Lynn Rice. When Cindy had Jeremy, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and loving mother. Cindy excelled at propping up Jeremy, Sean, and Jamie and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was Jeremy deployed overseas at war fighting for our freedom or Sean graduating from Dallas Baptist University and going on to educate the minds of our future or Jamie saving lives on the home front with her passion for emergency medicine, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others. Cindy was passionate about barrel racing and trick riding in her younger days. In 1996, Cindy battled a kind of late stage brain cancer and went on to survive despite the low odds. Cindy taught felons in prison how to operate computers and software. Cindy had a love for farm animals and raised deer. Cindy loved with intention and depth. Whether it was strength or struggle, when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her home practicing her patience surrounded by her children and grandchildren. We will miss her greatly. Cindy was predeceased by her father Johnny Earl Prince and her mother Billie Sue Sweitzer. She is survived by her son Jeremy Glen Rice and his children Ethan Rice, Brennan Glen Rice, Zoey Kai Turner, and Layla Rayne Rice, her son Sean Alan Rice, her daughter Jamie Lynn Stoicovy and her children Hunter Alan Rice, Shelby Lynn Stoicovy, and Wade Alan Stoicovy. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 119 Bois D'Arc Street, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. There will be a memorial service and celebration of life at a beautiful beach house on October 15th, 2022 1:00pm at 5202 Bluewater Highway, Freeport, TX 77541.
