Cindy's obituary

Cynthia Yvonne Groce Still, 84, of Eatonton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, December 29th of natural causes.  Cindy was born in Dry Branch, Ga. on June 29th, 1937 to the late Mr. Spartan Thomas Groce and Mrs. Jewell Jolly Groce.

After graduating from Oglethorpe High School in 1955, she went on to study nursing at Georgia Southwestern College.  After graduation, she landed her first job at Americus Hospital as a RN, a title she was very proud of.

In 1956, she met Jimmy Oxford Still, and they wed on December 21, 1958.

Cindy went on to become an RN in the emergency room at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, GA.   Where she retired in 2003.

Jim & Cindy had 3 sons.  Cindy was a wonderful mother to her children and when she wasn’t filling her home with love, warmth and kindness, she could be found reading a good book.  She loved romantic war novels.  We will miss her greatly.

Cynthia was predeceased by her spouse, Jimmy Oxford Still, Sr.,  and her sister, Clara Jean Groce Park.  She is survived by her sister, Ann Jolly Groce Joiner of Marshallville, GA and Cindy's children, Jimmy Oxford Still, Jr. (Debbie) of Mountain Park, GA, Thomas Fillmore Still (Cherie) of Gilbert, SC, and Gary Andrew Still (Jo Lynn) of Sandersville, GA, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26th between the hours of 10am - 2:00pm at
