Cyndi's obituary
Cynthia (Cyndi) Ann Magaard, of Coon Rapids, MN passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN after a brief battle with Covid-19.
Cyndi entered this world in November of 1955 with a heart so full of love. She was the first child of four and often took on the role of mother hen. She graduated from Lakeville High School and completed some classes at a vocational school. She worked at Honeywell, Inc. for 18 years as a secretary.
She married the love of her life, Scott Magaard, in May of 1987. They lived in Apple Valley and Mora before settling in Coon Rapids, MN. Scott and Cyndi were blessed with adding three children to Scott’s two other children from a previous marriage. Cyndi loved all of her children so much, never failing to celebrate a milestone, birthday or just an everyday success.
Cyndi was amazing at developing deep relationships with people. To know her was to be loved by her. She has a strong group of friends she has known for over forty years, cousins that call her best friend and an extended network of family and friends that are forever touched by her. She was the perfect example of why MN goodbyes are notoriously long. She made sure to tell everyone just how much they meant to her and to give everyone a hug before she left. She was always the first person to reach out and offer to help someone.
She bore many titles like Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Sister, Friend, but most of all “Aunt Cyndi”.
She is survived by her loving husband and partner, Scott Magaard; daughters: Jennifer (Tim) Barker, and Nicole (Colin) Hedemark; sons: Daniel (Alicia) Magaard, Chad Magaard, James (Nicole McGeary) Magaard; sisters: Jacqueline (Christian) Donovan, and Tammra (Tom) Echols; brother Craig Wilker; grandchildren: Logan, Kali, Jameson, Harrison, and Tristan; nieces: Liz, Charlotte (Ryan), Missy (Chris), and Izzy; nephews: Zan (Jessie), and Jeremy; many cousins, and so many close friends (too many to list).
Cyndi is preceded in death by her mother Jolene Wilker and father Marvin Wilker.
