Cynthia's obituary

Cynthia Lee Gill passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald G. Gill, and her parents William E. Johnson and Edria L. Johnson.

She is survived by her Daughter, Erin G Haramboure, Son-in-law Ricardo L. Haramboure, and Granddaughter, Calista Q. Haramboure.

Cindy was born in Alexandria, VA July 28th, 1949. She was raised in Lexington, VA by her aunt and uncle, William and Edria, but was never able to be formally adopted by her parents.

She attended and graduated from Radford College while it was still an all girl's school. Earning a degree in business, she ended up at Hofheimer's shoe store in Richmond, VA. There in Richmond, she met her husband, Ronnie. They were married April 14th, 1984.

One year later she gave birth to their daughter and Cindy began her life as a homemaker. She happily became a lunch lady at St. Benedict's School to help pay tuition for a better education for her child when the need arose. Often involved in fundraising and PTA, she was well known in the little school community for her efforts.

Moving to Powhatan, VA after becoming a widow, she worked variety of jobs. Finally finding her calling in caregiving, she became a CNA and Med Tech. She provided care to several families' loved ones in the area until she retired at 62.

Her greatest joy in retirement was seeing her daughter married, the birth of her granddaughter, and spending time with her family. She loved word searches and coloring books to keep busy. She loved spoiling her granddaughter more than just about anything else.

Most of all, Cindy will be remembered for her endless supply of love, kindness, patience, and grace.

Per her request, there will be no service. She will lay to rest with her husband at Salem Presbyterian Church cemetery in Studley, VA, the church where they were married.
