Cynthia (Cindy) Ann King of Lake George Fremont, Indiana passed away at the age of 72 on October 7, 2025, surrounded by her family, at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana after a valiant battle with lymphoma.
Cindy is survived by her beloved husband (Bill) Albert William King III, her two sons, Tony (Brandi) King and Danny (Sarah) King, her most precious 5 grandchildren, Alex, Lizzie, Parker, Liam and Caiden King, her sister Carol (Keith) Taylor of St. Pete Beach, Florida, and many nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles D. and Betty Hopper.
Cindy was born on August 8, 1953, to Charles D. and Betty (Grubb) Hopper in Indianapolis, Indiana. After graduating from Arlington High School in 1971, she attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where she studied early education and met the love of her life, Bill, the first week on campus. He proposed to her on New Year’s Eve that same year and they were married on September 22, 1973. They shared 52 wonderful years together raising their two boys, traveling the world, and running their family business, Kings Title & Abstract Co.
Cindy was the Co-owner of Kings Title & Abstract Co. and served in several leadership roles within the Title industry, including President of the Indiana Land and Title Association and Chairwoman of the American Land and Title Association Education Committee. She also served as Co-ambassador for the New Castle Chamber of Commerce New Castles of the World. As a woman strong in her faith committed to service, Cindy also supported First Presbyterian Church in New Castle, Indiana as a Deacon. Cindy retired from Kings Title & Abstract in 2009 and decided to give back to her community and use her early education training to substitute teach at Fremont Schools until her illness prevented her from teaching further.
Cindy found joy in traveling to many wonderful destinations around the world creating unforgettable memories. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and grand dogs at Lake George. Cindy was a wonderful chef and talented seamstress, very often sharing her many talents with her family and friends. She was an active member of Presbyterian Chapel of the Lakes Church in Angola, Indiana and enjoyed teaching vacation bible school during the summers.
