Capturing Harley's personality
I'm a cousin of Cynthia's or rather cousin-once- removed. Her mother was my cousin. After we met for the first time at her mother's funeral in Danville, NC, I had a chance to get to know her when I visited her in the Caribbean twice. What a wonderful life she had there! She showed me all her haunts in Tortola - what fun it was!
Then I visited her quite a few times during her trips in her "wheel estate" up and down the east coast (NC, SC, FL). She and Donavan came for Thanksgiving to my house in NC soon after she came back to the States. One hot summer she parked her RV at my house and we got someone to fix her air conditioner.
I bought a bunch of her "Hurricanes and Hangovers" books and gave them to all my friends in love with the Caribbean. I will miss this witty, talented, lovely lady.

Back in the day
here she is again, steering that sailboat that she loved so much... the "ZeaRose"... she bought it, restored it, lived on it, and sailed it all over the Caribbean for nearly two decades... one of a kind, my sister, gone too soon...

We met on Hunting Island and quickly discovered many common interests and experiences.
In far too short a time, I have many wonderful memories of the stories of her adventures.
I’m missing her so much.

Will be greatly missed.
Please let me know of any memorial service.

I have many stories about her and I would love to hear more.

Oct 30, Cynthia with a flowering hydrangea I had sent to cheer her up. She was recovering from a bad bout with the flu. She is standing next to her new hot-tub that her dear friend Tyrone had recently set up for her. Her patio is covered in gorgeous plants and flowers. She had such a green thumb.

Cynthia loved riding her bike…
2018, Florida Keys
Cynthia loved riding her bike every day, with her tiny doggie Harley in the front basket, as seen here. Some days she would ride as many as 5 to 10 miles. Here she is in the Florida Keys last year, watching the sunset after a long ride with her good friend Don L.
