Cynthia (Cindy) Marshall Doyle of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on August 10, 2025 due to complications related to COPD. Cindy was surrounded by family and loved ones on that day.
Born on November 22, 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia, Cindy was a beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of many with her profound joy for life, energy, strength, and her Armenian heritage.
On October 15th, 2005 Cindy wed Thomas Doyle Jr, and they were married for 20 years this October. Tom used to drive cab in Norfolk, and they met when she called a cab for a ride to
work. From then on Cindy would only ride in Tom’s cab. Even in the last week of her life, she let everyone know that he was still her “Babycakes”.
Cindy enjoyed spending time at the beach. From her younger years to more recent times she would even visit the beach with her grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren, both hers and Tom’s. She was known in the community for dancing, which she enjoyed, even taking ballroom dancing lessons with Tom, and for playing the piano. Her love of the piano even inspired one of her grandchildren to learn the piano. She also had a love for horses and horseback riding.
Cindy was diagnosed with COPD around ten years ago, and she engaged in a battery of care procedures and interventions. Despite the toll the disease took on her, Cindy was strong and a fighter, continuously battling the sickness in order to make the most each day.
Cindy is survived by her two daughters, Renee Siegler (Matthew and Marissa McGaffney) Christine Dwyer (Emerson and Reagan Dwyer), son Alan Siegler, and her sisters Lenora Bennett, and Violet Tunnel. She was predeceased by her parents Aurora Pulley and Levon Marshall.
All will forever cherish her memory
