Cynthia Ann Posthumus, known to many as Cindy Beers, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

She was raised in Wheaton, Maryland, spent many years in Beverly Hills, Florida, and her final years in Flintstone, Maryland. She spent her life caring for others—both professionally and within her family. She was a devoted mother, nana, daughter, and caregiver, and the heart of her family.

Cindy was known as a free spirit—whimsical, joyful, and someone who brought lightness and creativity into everyday life.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon and Christina; her five grandchildren; her sisters, Karen and Lori; and her father, James. She was predeceased by her mother, Nancy.

Her presence, love, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will hold a private celebration of life later this summer.
