I was very sorry to hear about your loss. Even though I only had the chance to meet Cindy briefly, it’s clear that she was deeply loved. Please know I’m thinking of you and your family, and I pray that your memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.

1986, Laurel, Maryland, USA

Cindy and I heard about this big nationwide charity event to raise awareness of Homelessness in America to take place  on Memorial Day - May 25, 1986. Everyone From Coast to Coast were going to connect- hand to hand across the country.

Cindy and Billy came as family and me and Ralph and Becky all went to Laurel, Maryland- route One (where we were supposed to go) to get in line with a gazillion other people.  When the time came we all held hands… strangers, families and friends all held each others hands at same time.  It was kind of neat feeling that all of us in that line (people as far as the eye could see) were all on the same page, united in something good.  How many people participated across the country… I don’t know. I DO know there were thousands of us in Laurel Maryland that were connected- hand to hand. I have pictures somewhere.
