Cindy's obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Arztberger (DeShaw), a longtime resident of Framingham, passed away on May 12, 2025 at the age of 67. She is survived by her children, David and Elizabeth Artzberger, her sisters, Karen King and Pam Travers, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Luna.

Cindy was best known for her kindness, her smile, and if you were lucky to hear it, her infectious laugh. She found joy in the simple things. Her perfect day might include a walk outside in the fresh air, chatting with friends along the way, spending time with her daughter, and enjoying Luna’s antics.

Cindy was also a fighter. Despite enduring significant medical challenges much of her adult life, she refused to let them change who she was as a person. She faced every challenge head-on and with optimism, making the most she could out of her circumstances. She inspired those around her to be grateful for life’s little blessings.

Even as her illness gradually diminished her physical abilities, Cindy continued to set personal goals for what she wanted to accomplish - to walk more or to be less shy. She discovered a love for bingo and painting late in her life, mostly for the chance it gave her to connect with others and build meaningful friendships.

Cindy had deep faith in Jesus Christ, something that brought her comfort and strength. We take comfort knowing she is now free of the physical limitations that constrained her in life, and that she is now reunited with her parents, David and Katherine DeShaw.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 260 Hemenway Street, Marlborough, MA.

- Visitation: 1 pm
