Curtis was a very active in this community as a Buffalo Soldier as well as an AARP volunteer. He was a master electrician and also did home renovations. He was the proud son of Rose Brown and the brother of Rose Mathis, both of which he lived passed. Curtis survived two marriages that brought forth three boys and two daughters and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He has been the one who has outlived so many how now he joins those who has gone before him.
