Kesia, you-all remain in our thoughts and prayers. Blessings, Kelley and Rhonda
Still can't believe he's gone. I've kept this site up all year to see Curt's face and pray for Kesia and family.

Helping hands

In lieu of flowers

In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to HOW Tampa.

Curt and I played football together and we’re part of the same club. “The unglued brothers”. He was the kindest and fun loving of the group. I loved him like a brother and will truly miss his sweet smile. Go rest on high with your Heavenly Father. Until we meet again.

May God bless and comfort the Family.

  • I was saddened when I heard the news of Curtis's passing.   We all lost a “best friend” that day.  But I also know, while he was here with us, he embraced life to the fullest.  If I had to sum it up in two words it would be “no regrets”.   He took full advantage of every opportunity to drop everything and spend time when Kesia and the kids.  They took a lot of vacations and spent a lot of quality time together as a family.   He mentored Travis, Tanner and Gracie all into adulthood.   Any activities the kids were involved in, Curtis was right there with them fully invested, especially with all the years he spent helping Tanner manage his travel baseball endeavors.   He was the biggest fan of all three kids, and Arden.  But his greatest love was for Kesia.  I watched as they spent a lot of time over the past several years reconnecting as they became empty nesters.  He adored Kesia, and always felt blessed to have caught the eye of a girl who, as he said was “out of his league”.   When they bought the center console to spend more time on salt water, he used to reminisce to me about the adventures he and Kesia would embark on when they were first married, lobster diving and spending time in south FL.   He truly valued all the time he had with her.   Many people, when they look back on their lives in their last days aren’t able to take stock of nearly as much as he was able to.   Curtis lived his life the right way, he put his priorities in the right places, he never met a stranger, he loved everyone, and he worked hard to support his family.   The only greater love he had above Kesia and the kids was his love of Jesus Christ.   He always lived life with balance, and never allowed his career to come before God or family.  So I have some peace in knowing that, as he looked back on his life, he had nothing to feel regretful of, he did it right.   We’ll all miss him, but as fellow believers we can look forward to seeing him again someday.

Kesia, I am so sorry to hear the sad news.  Curtis was fun and entertaining and will be sorely missed.  I wish you peace.
Dear Kesia and family, we are so saddened to hear of Curt’s passing. Although it’s been years since Curt and I have spent time together, we shared a lot of life together in our younger years. We wore each others clothes in high school, fished, waterskied, road trips to the Keys, Jimmy Buffet concerts, took scuba diving lessons together and were in each other’s weddings. Kesia, may God draw you close and may His love abundantly cover you and your family in your time of great loss.
