Curtis Morelock, 94, of Lakeland, FL, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2022. Curtis was born on July 13, 1928 to John and Lora Morelock in Hagan, VA, and raised in Buchanan, MI.
After Curtis graduated from Buchanan High School in 1946, he joined the US Army and was stationed in Alaska. After he was discharged in 1949, he was sponsored as a "Timothy" by the Buchanan Church of Christ to attend the Cincinnati Bible Seminary.
Curtis was passionate about the Lord and loved preaching the Word of God; ever encouraging and uplifting those around him. He served in churches across the United States, including Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and Florida. He also served on several global missions, namely in India, Korea, China, and The Philippines.
A careful listener, a loving husband and father, and a human being who enjoyed life, and those he encountered; for he never met a stranger. He was a man of kind words, heartfelt hugs, and a happy heart that left lasting, loving impressions on those who knew him.
Curtis Morelock was predeceased by his parents John and Lora Morelock, his sister Virginia Dewees and his son John Marcus Morelock. He is survived by his wife Eve Morelock, his son Michael Morelock and daughter April Madsen-Davis.
Services will be held at the Estates at Carpenters Auditorium in Lakeland, Florida on Wednesday, January 11th at 10:00 A.M.
