Curtis O'Brien, 61, of Santa Barbara, CA, passed away unexpectedly on October 08, 2022.

Curt was born on December 27, 1960 to Walt and Doris O'Brien in Santa Monica, CA.  

In 1981, he married his high school sweetheart, Heidi Haskell, going on to have three handsome sons, Justin, Kevin, and Patrick. 

 Anyone who was fortunate enough to meet Curt will remember his infectious smile and joyful spirit.  He enjoyed spending time on the beach, cruising, golfing, skiing, and traveling the world with his best friend and soulmate! His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was a hard worker and always determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of his boys, their careers, and the lives they created with their families. Curt was the most loving husband, father, and Poppy for which a family could ask. 

Curt was preceded in death by his son, Kevin, and his father, Walt. He is survived by his wife, Heidi; sons, Justin (Crystal) and Patrick (Ashley); his mother, Doris; brother, Greg (Tammy); sister, Karen; and four beautiful grandchildren, Kevin, Eden, Landon, and Hayden . 

 There will be a celebration of life on November 12th, at 5pm, in the Ranchero Room at Harry's Plaza in Santa Barbara. Guests are asked to dress in tropical attire or bright colors, this is the party Curt would have wanted and we will celebrate as such!
