Crystal Marie Maurer (Anderson), 64, passed August 13, 2022 in Thoreau, New Mexico. Born on January 22, 1958, in East Gary, Indiana, Crystal moved to California as a child and was a longtime resident of Orange County, graduating Westminster High School and living in Anaheim until her death. Crystal was an artist, enthusiast of astrology, avid bowler and loved being a pool shark at the billiards hall. She was a longtime member of the Linbrook bowling league that took her to Las Vegas every year in their annual bowling tournament. Along with being a loving mother and grandmother she enjoyed the thrill of the open road, whether it be on a Harley or in a 69 Chevy, she was the happiest with her hair in the wind. She also enjoyed watching movies with family and friends at home with a big bowl of homemade popcorn. Crystal loved to visit her Anaheim neighbor, Disneyland, with her partner Paul. She was a collector of various knick-knacks and figurines that she would purchase from her favorite thrift store or local swap meet. She relished finding great deals on items she purchased and sometimes she would boast about how great they were to anyone who would listen. Crystal will be dearly missed and always remembered. Crystal is survived by her partner Paul, her four siblings Polly, Susan, Sarah, Rick, her two children Jennifer and Michael, and granddaughter. Memorial services will take place on September 4, 2022 at 10am at the Johnson residence in Long Beach, CA.
