Crystal's obituary

Crystal Nadine Dickey peacefully passed away on February 9th, 2019 at 5:00 A.M. in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born on August 16th, 1953 in Moline, Illinois to the late Don and Barbara Lingafelter.

She grew up in Rock Island County with; her parents, 3 sisters and one brother. She had a huge love and talent for showing cattle. Over the years she obtained several trophies and ribbons. Crystal graduated from Aledo High School in 1971. She proceeded to have 2 children 16 moths apart at the age of 25 and 26. She settled in Kansas as a young mother eventually planting her feet in Missouri. She was a God fearing woman with a strong will. She put all of her faith in God and doing the right thing mixed in with a whole lot of hard work. She loved to garden and craft. Her home was never complete without a scrabble game and fresh coffee. She spent most of her years as a single mother. Later in life she went on to raise 2 of her grandchildren. If you had the pleasure of knowing Crystal; you had the pleasure of being drawn to her. She had a bright soul and was and is loved by many. She loved to dance and when she smiled she smiled big. Sunshine made her come alive and she wanted the world to laugh. Crystal left her mark and left this world at the young age of 65. While her body is gone her amazing soul will continue to drape those she left behind in warmness and comfort. May she rest in peace and continue to watch us from above. So many lives were touched by her and she definitely will never be forgotten.

She is survived by daughter, Tanya Whaley of St Petersburg, FL, son Tyler Sproston and wife Alexis of Richmond, MO; 2 grandchildren, Justin Bradford of Shawnee, KS and Brenna Bradford of Grand Rapids, MI; 3 sisters, Janice Doherty of Aledo IL, Donna Lingafelter of Moline IL and Karen Lingafelter of Aledo, IL. 1 brother, Thomas Lingafelter and wife Phyllis of Sherrard, IL
Crystal was predeceased by mother, Barbara Lingafelter and father Don Lingafelter
