A Poem for Crystal ~A Loving Niece
She moved through life with an open heart,
even when the winds were unkind.
Kindness was her native language,
spoken softly, even to pain.
In every season she carried light—
not the kind that blinds,
but the kind that warms,
the kind you only notice when it’s gone
and the room feels colder for its absence.
The world asked much of her,
yet she answered with grace.
She bore her trials quietly,
and met harshness with gentleness,
as though compassion itself had taken human form.
Her laughter lives in her children’s eyes.
Her patience lingers in the air
where she once sat beside her grandmother Jonnie
listening with respect and love.
We will miss her presence—
the calm in her voice,
the warmth in her smile,
the way she still believed in goodness
when the world forgot to.
Rest now, sweet Crystal.
You have given more love than sorrow could erase.
May your spirit find the peace
you always tried to give to others.
