Cristin's obituary

Cristin Deborah Fitzpatrick, known to friends and family as “Cissy” and “Fitzy”, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at age 39. She was a dearly loved daughter, sister and friend.

Cristin was born October 1, 1984 in Hopkinton, Massachusetts to James and Deborah. Her childhood homes included Massachusetts, Texas and even Ireland, and in each place she took every opportunity to steep in the beauty of nature. She obtained a Bachelors of Science from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Boston Medical School. She completed her licensure as an LMHC and became a gifted therapist who took time to truly connect with each of her clients. Throughout her career, she served children and families involved with DCF (the Department of Children and Families), even taking the time to deliver holiday gifts these families would not have been able to afford on their own. She helped hundreds of individuals struggling with a myriad of mental health challenges.

Outside of her career, Cristin was a brilliant woman of many talents, from painting canvas and ceramics to drawing, embroidery and many other artistic endeavors. She had a special passion for music and travel, and embraced her wanderlust traveling the world, seeing the performers she loved in exotic places. Always quick witted, her sense of humor often included well-timed and carefully curated inside jokes and TV quotes. Cristin opened her heart and home to well-loved pets throughout her life, from shelter animals to ones that ended up on her stoop by happenstance, pouring every ounce of love, attention and devotion into them. Her best friend and sidekick, her dog Nina, accompanied her on all of her adventures for the past decade.

Cristin is survived by her father, James; mother, Deborah; brothers Brian and Timothy; sister Mollyanne, as well as uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many friends. We will always love you and miss you, Cristin- thank you for being such a bright, positive, and just plain good presence in all our lives.
