Crispulo's obituary
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our dad, Crispulo “Polly” Miguel, who went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2025.
Born on June 10, 1957, in Manila, Philippines, Polly moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1997 to build a new life with his family. He was known for his big heart, his easy laugh, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. He had a rare gift for bringing joy into any room.
One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming a homeowner—a symbol of his hard work, determination, and the deep love he had for his family. Polly lived a life full of love, resilience, and quiet generosity. He believed in family, in finding joy in the simple things, and in working hard to create a better life. His memory lives on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every life he touched.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Loida Miguel; his son, Paul and daughter-in-law Migdalis Miguel, and grandchildren Giselle and Myles; his daughter, Paola and son-in-law Jahara Brown, and granddaughter Malaya.
To them, he was more than a husband, father, and grandfather—he was laughter and presence. Someone who could light up a room and quiet it just the same. A challenge, a joy, a puzzle—but above all, he was theirs. And despite the pain of the past, he gave them the chance to show what love truly means: a love that forgives, that endures, and that holds on—even when it’s hard.
Polly is now at peace, reunited with his parents, Felicisima and Florencio Sr.; his grandson, Marcus; and his sisters, Pilar, Paulita, and Teresita; his parents in-law, Gasat and Prisca Gorospe; his brother-in-law Freddie Gorospe.
He is also lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings: Maria, Danilo, Cecilia, and Florencio Jr., along with many beloved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family—both here and in the Philippines—who will carry his memory in their hearts always.
He will be missed. He will always be loved.
