Mr. Craig Sarch, a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, of Rockville Centre, NY, passed away on October 18, 2018, peacefully in his sleep at the age of 72 after several years of cancer treatments that began before his retirement. After Craig graduated Freeport high school, he attended Hofstra University for accounting/financial classes for several years while also working. Craig has worked full time his entire adult life, mostly 10-12 hours daily, 6-7 days a week, in Manhattan (~90 minute commute each way) in the financial sector to provide for his family until retiring in August of 2014. He was taking vacations with his wife to North and South Carolina deciding which neighborhoods to house hunt in to retire to. Craig enjoyed playing golf, being at the beach, swimming at the beach or local pools. Craig also enjoyed walking all the dogs he has adopted over the years with or without his wife around the neighborhood, and driving his cars around with his wife. Craig also enjoyed watching professional sports (preferably live), going to the gym for the treadmill, swimming and sauna/steam, and taking week-long bi-yearly out of state vacations with his wife over the decades. Craig almost never drank alcohol, except at functions, seeming to not possess the desire to drink which was handed down to his children. Craig was friendly to everyone he met, but shy deep down. He enjoyed and looked forward to all family, friend and work celebrations and parties. Craig was shy to ask others for social engagements but enjoyed all those he attended. Craig was preceded in death by his son, Ivan Sarch, January 9, 2010, as well as his parents, Louis and Helen Sarch, his older brother, Edward Sarch, both parents-in-laws, and both siblings-in-laws on his wife's side over the years. Craig is survived by his wife, Raye Sarch, his youngest daughter, Helen, as well as his oldest and estranged (barely ever talked to him when she lived at home, and no contact 1999-2007 & 2013 to his death) daughter, Andrea C., her loving husband, J. C., and their young son, M. C.
