Craig's obituary
Craig Walter Douglas, age 75, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in Pompano Beach, Florida. Born on April 4, 1955, to Jack and Virginia Douglas in Detroit, MI. Craig grew up as the middle child of three brothers, John and Donald. Craig and Don shared a love for motocross, boating, skiing and creating memories full of adrenaline and laughter.
Craig eventually made his way to Florida, where he fell in love with the warm weather and the ocean. He found joy in the simple pleasures: a day at the beach, time spent with family and friends around the pool and the thrill of catching a fish out on the water. A devoted NASCAR fan and adopted Miami Dolphins supporter, Craig rarely missed a Sunday race or game.
Kind-hearted and selfless, Craig was the kind of person who always showed up, supported his friends and instilled traditions. He had a special way of making those around him feel appreciated and loved, especially his nieces and nephews—he was sure to mark a milestone or a moment that mattered with a card or a call.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Virginia Douglas, and his stepfather, Ted Leslie. He is survived by his brother Donald Douglas, John Douglas, sister-in-law Joyce Douglas, nieces Hana (Vlad, Braven, and Phenoix) and Morgan Booth (Quinn and Graham), and nephews Blake and Brett Douglas.
