Cory Allen Schaeffer, 52, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Cory is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his wife, Jenna; his children, Madeline Jade (Alecia Jones) Schaeffer of Philadelphia, PA, Benjamin Allen Schaeffer of Wilmington, NC, and Liliana Marie Schaeffer of Wixom, MI; and his mother and stepfather, Donna and Howard Weiss of Schaefferstown, PA.

A proud graduate of Penn State University, Cory was an accomplished Technical Leader and a gifted Electrical Engineer. He spent extended periods of focus designing and building custom equipment solutions that helped support the growth of touchscreen technology and the solar industry. Embracing his entrepreneurial spirit, he launched his own business focused on large-scale power management solutions. Cory was trusted and deeply respected by those who had the privilege of working with him.

Known for his kind heart and sense of humor, Cory was a fiercely loyal husband and father, always placing his family at the center of his life. He lived his values through service, participating in mission trips with Living Water International, volunteering with his church, and actively supporting his children’s interests. He had a passion for Nittany Lions football, was an avid cyclist, and had an insatiable appetite for knowledge through reading and podcasts. He and Jenna shared a love of travel, creating lasting memories together in the places they explored. Cory left this world too soon, following a quiet and deeply personal struggle. He deserved more time doing the things he loved, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

Because Cory shared life with friends and family across many places he called home, no formal funeral or memorial is planned at this time. For those who feel led, contributions in Cory’s memory may be made to Living Water International.
