Cory and I have been friends for roughly the last 20 years. We shot many a game of pool, sang a lot of karaoke together(mountain music by Alabama was a definite favorite song that Cory would suggest us sing!), and drove a lot of miles through the sandhills east of Sheldon just enjoying the scenery and each other's company. Cory was a kind hearted ,good natured soul who was always polite and respectful, and always willing to lend a helping hand if you needed it. I will miss him tremendously. My deepest sympathies to Steve,Craig and families.

Since hearing about this early this week all I can think about is blue Chevelles, motorcycles, Coca-Cola, and hoodless Chapparals. I spent an incredible amount of time fishing, camping, riding motorcycle, and playing nintendo with Cory. Growing up in a small town he was the best friend a guy could have.
On one camping trip he wanted to make stew. It was all he could talk about. We built a fire and set a big pot right on the coals. We all brought something to throw in the pot. Anyways it was delicious. The thing is there were millions upon millions of those little biting gnats swarming us all night. Jason turns a flashlight on in the dark and him and I notice that the stew has thousands of little black specs in it-the gnats. I was like I don't care and he says "Neither do I, but don't tell Cory or he won't eat it." We'd tell him about it much later and he'd laugh his dumb laugh that would always make me laugh even when I didn't think something was as funny as he did.
Sadly friends come in and out of life and we only really ever talked over facebook anymore but I'll think of him always as a friend. Craig and Steve I'm extremely sorry for yours and our loss please message me if you think I can help in any way.
P.S. I think he's still up on me in penny-ante poker.

Where to begin... I'm going to miss the boy who pulled my pigtails as a kid who I in turn used to bite. So many many years of memories. The things we did. Well we accidentally drowned some puppies we put down a sewer pipe because we wanted them to go swimming. We were too little to know any better. Sticking firecrackers in the neighbor's flowers and trying to blow them up. We once put a tarp in an old pickup box and filled it with water for a swimming pool. But our dads and their friends liked it and took it over. Riding around in the basket of your Grandma Marion's 3 wheeled bike. Driving the lawn mower giving each other rides in the wagon . But I ran into the tree. You letting me drive your first motorcycle around the block. I wiped out of course by using the front brakes instead of the back. Mick going up Old Baldy with you. My dad wouldn't let me go with. Mick letting us drive around the curves by Loren's. Of course I went to fast and we went down the ditch. The 20-22 pound carp Cory caught at the secret spot. It only had one eye. Cory and I carving our initials in the initial tree. And Monopoly. Cory always wanted to play that game. It came to the point where I would only play if we got to play Trivial Pursuit. The tears we cried the laughter we shared. The stories we told. The memories we have. I will miss you forever..
