Cory Devante Owens

Cory Devante Owens, of Greer, South Carolina, passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 25.

Cory was known for his bold spirit and his ability to bring joy to others. At just 21 years old, he ran for mayor of his hometown of Central, South Carolina—an early reflection of his ambition, confidence, and desire to make a difference in his community.

He also shared a special creative bond with his identical twin brother, with whom he created YouTube content. Together, they built memories and entertained others, showcasing Cory’s natural humor and love for making people laugh. That sense of humor was at the heart of who he was—he had a gift for lifting others up and bringing light into any room he entered.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Caroline Owens, along with family members, his twin brother, and many friends who will continue to carry his memory forward.

Cory’s life, though brief, was full of personality, courage, and connection. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
