Cory's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cory "Low C" Coppedge, who departed this life on August 29, 2015. Known fondly as Low, Cory was born on December 3, 1985. A man of vibrant personality described as hilarious, self-aware, loyal, and an old soul, Cory resonated with people from all walks of life.
Cory was predeceased by his father, Mark Coppedge. He is survived by his loving mother, Shelby LaMance; his brothers, Justin and Travis Coppedge, and Ryan LaMance; his beloved son, Tanner Coppedge; his favorite uncle Rick; his adoring grandmother Carol; and so many other loving family members and friends. Cory's family was the cornerstone of his life, and they remain testament to the love and dedication he held for them.
Cory had a deep admiration for the arts and popular culture. A fan of ASAP Rocky and Mac Dre, his love for music was only rivaled by his love for his spitting hot freestyles off the top. Despite his varied interests, Cory was true to himself and preferred simple pleasures. His favorite recreational activities included spending time with his brothers, caring for his son, cooking, freestyling, watching TV, and bike rides. Cory also had a love for vibrant colors, with his favorite being red, and a keen palate that favored Thai and BBQ cuisine. He was an amazing talented self-taught chef who loved food so much he used to keep a deep fryer at his bedside table.
But above all, Cory was deeply compassionate. He was deeply affected by Mental Health and depression and sadly no longer felt he could live in this compassionless world any longer. His legacy of sincerity and self-awareness lives on in the important life lessons he imparted to his brothers - to always remain true to their identities.
Cory's life was celebrated on September 5, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the McKenzie Stage Stop Restaurant in Cedar Flats, OR, where friends and family gathered to remember his vivacious spirit and cherish his memory. Among Cory's myriad accomplishments, his family holds dear his most meaningful and proud, the beautiful life he brought into the world - his son Tanner.
Cory has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. His presence will be sorely missed by his brothers, mother, son, and everyone whose life was touched by his phenomenal spirit.
