Corry Dewitt Blount III, 80, left this world on December 18, 2023. He was a lifelong lover of history, humor, and learning. He was amazing at Jeopardy, loved reading, and watching the history channel. A fond memory all his children share is his love of ice cream. It was a nightly treat and he would get on to anyone who didn’t eat all 3 Neapolitan flavors equally. However, Corry’s most important and lasting legacy is as father and grandfather to his 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. They were the light of his life and he cherished them all.

Corry is preceded in death by his wife, Karla Blount; and his parents, Martha and Corry “Jim” Blount Jr.

He left behind his children: Corry Blount IV (Tona), Brandy McIntyre (Joey), Casey Blount (Ray), Kami Harold (Seth), Kyle Blount (Tania), Kaitie Blount, Karissa Ladd (Jonathan). His grandchildren: Dylan (Brittany), Jake (Kelsi), Halle, Madeline, Jolee, Delaney, Emma, Will; Anahi, Aliana, Corry V; Carter, Parker, Emilia and Lona. His great-grandchildren: Aiden, Bowen, Case, Eli, and Eden. He also left behind his wonderful sister and her husband, Judy and Bob Caldwell, and his loving in-laws, Jean Kelley and Kristin and Bill Hall.

Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls in memory of Corry and Karla Blount.
