A celebration of Coralie's vibrant life will be held on October 13, 2024, from 1:30 - 5:30pm at Kirigin Cellars in Gilroy, CA. We welcome all who knew and loved her to join us in sharing memories and honoring her spirit.
Coralie’s journey began with her high school graduation from Hillsdale High School, San Mateo, CA, in 1960. She further pursued her passion for caring for others by graduating with an LVN Nursing Degree soon after High School. Coralie started her big and beautiful family during these early years, a testament to her love and dedication as a mother. Coralie worked the overnight shift as a nurse, taking care of people who needed around the clock care and would often only sleep a few hours the next morning before starting her day and tending to her children. She never complained and somehow she had an endless supply of energy.
Coralie had a zest for life that was contagious. She was perennially the life of the party; her bubbly, outgoing, fun, and funny persona endeared her to all who met her. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed and valued, and she was never happier than when she was able to bring her loved ones together, whether it was for a lively game of poker, bunco, a birthday or wine tasting party, Coralie was the ideal host who loved to entertain.
Her favorite moments were those spent in the company of her family where she fully celebrated each and every one of their milestones and birthdays. For Coralie, there was always a reason to celebrate and throw a party. She especially loved her annual family camping trip that she put on for 50+ years, often making her famous pastas and 4th of July cake for the large group each year. She also loved theatrics, costumes, performances and entertaining children. In her early years, Coralie had a side gig working as a clown to entertain children at birthday parties. In her later life, she produced a night show at her annual camping event where all would dress up in her many costumes she has collected over the years. She also loved to cook and often made her delicious Italian recipes (especially her delicious lasagna) for her many events. She loved music and dancing and would always be the first one on the dance floor, no matter what. Coralie also loved to sparkle, she had a unique wardrobe and loved the many treasures she found at her absolute favorite store, the Goodwill.
Coralie never sat down for too long, she loved being out and about and is the true epitome of someone who lived life to the fullest. Her legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and she truly had a gift of bringing people together, making special memories that last. She had a heart full of love for her family, her friends, and all of the people she cared for over the years. She taught us the importance of showing up, of being present, and of cherishing each moment.
As we mourn the loss of Coralie, we also celebrate her remarkable life and the way she touched the hearts of all those around her. Her lessons, her love, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all those she left behind.
