It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cora Stingley, who departed this life on July 30, 2025, at Rush Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She was 78 years old.
Cora was born on August 4, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up on 83rd and Troop, where she formed lifelong bonds and became known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend — a woman who always put others before herself.
She will be fondly remembered for her delicious cooking, her warm hugs, and her infectious laugh that could brighten any room. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her legacy of kindness will live on through all who knew her.
Cora was the loving mother of Joanne, Beatrice, Karen, Donna, and Tracey; proud grandmother of Quinton, Marlon, Kaylin, Lisa, Tishana, Amber, Jordan, Kyra, Chris, Randal, and Aaron; and cherished great-grandmother of fifteen. She was also a beloved sister to Toni, Dorothy, and Larry.
She leaves behind countless fond memories and a family who will forever carry her in their hearts.
