Cora Louise Johnson Age 72

Sunrise: July 19, 1950 – Sunset: September 4, 2022

Cora Louise Johnson, daughter of the late Claudie and Louise Smith was born on July 19, 1950, in Norfolk, VA. Her family later moved to Washington, DC where she attended school. She was a dedicated member of Greater Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church. She taught the Children’s Sunday School class. She would teach them about the Good News Glove letting them know that “Jesus Loves You.” She was involved in Bible Study, Street Ministry, Prayer Service, and Community Outreach. Cora also assisted with the Community Outreach at Bible Life Christian Center, led by Pastor Johnny C. Peterson. She worked at Capuchin College in Catholic University as a cook. She also worked as a Special Police Officer in several federal buildings in Washington, DC. Cora was well loved and led a full life!

Cora was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth Johnson. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Michele (David), Kennetha, and Kenneth; grandchildren, Michael, Donte, DaNaja, and DaChell; sisters Gloria and Corina (Jonathan), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Snowball (pet) and a host of devoted cousins, friends, and acquaintances. Cora was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy and Claudia (Charles) and her brother Samuel.
