There's nothing I can do or say to make this better. I just found out about your loss and I didn't know Cooper, but I know your good, kind, strong family and I can only imagine your heartbreak. Lew and I are sending you love. That is all we can do. Much love always, to all of you.

Cooper brought such joy and humor to the Herman house. Kind, witty, and with a contagious sense of fun, he was a beloved friend and brother to our kids.

Christian met Cooper on their first day at Cate. Stephanie and I bumped into each other in the Longhouse hallway and decided our sons had to meet. Little did we know that while we were talking, Christian had already found his way into Cooper’s room, where he basically lived until graduation!

I will always be grateful for his presence in Christian’s life and in all of our lives.

We love you, Cooper, and we will never forget you.

The Herman Family

Dearest Stephanie, Scott and family,

My heart is so heavy, and I have no words other than to send heartfelt condolences and let you know your family is front and center in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you much strength, peace and love.

Warmly,

Reka

My heart is heavy with sadness and despair with Cooper’s passing. As friends of the family I got to know Cooper as a kid. Then in high school we began surfing together. I know him as you all did.  A young man with so much enthusiasm, kindness, humor and stoke for life. I miss you Coop.

 Dear Stephanie and Family,

I remember your beautiful toe-headed, sweet surfer boy running around St. Matts and always in the water at BABC.  From one mama to another, know how much you are loved by everyone in your community and that Cooper is surrounded by eternal love forever.  Love, Heidi and Damon
