Thinking of you, Scott, Spencer and Fritze today.

During our three days at Redwood Ramble last week my phone was in my tent most of the time. I only recorded 20 seconds of video, which I’m attaching here. Later you told me that “Ripple” was sung at Cooper’s paddle-out memorial. But I didn’t know that when I was somehow moved to record this short bit. You said it also felt significant that Steve Poltz (who is singing here) announced that his birthday is February 19, same as Cooper’s, and that his sister (who was present and recorded this group song on her gadget) was also born February 19.

You’ll see that (unlike Poltz’s sister) I wasn’t focused on the stage and the singer, nor on the crowd singing along.

Instead, for some reason, I was gazing heavenward.
