My condolences to Cooper's family. My heart is heavy and also full of images of the energetic, enthusiastic young artist Coop who brought so much inspiration and positive love to every art class! Surely Stephanie and Scott, your lose is shared by so many who were lucky enough to experience Cooper's magic twinkling eyes!

Dear Stephanie and Scott, Spencer and Fritze. We didn't know your lovely Cooper too well, but getting to be with him on a shopping spree for a few hours one day was to see instantly how beautiful he was to be with in so many ways. The peace and hope we pray for you is that these amazing photos shared here continue to carry the imprint of Cooper's lively spirit and beaming sunshine everyday he's away. With Love. the Holland Family

Looking at the photos others have posted I see Cooper's love of nature, the familial love that surrounded him, and friends who shared many good times with him.
I will always remember Cooper's smile, his easy manner, and those curly locks (which I imagine often harbored a little sand in them).
I'm sending my love to you all during these very hard times.

When I think of a family in which every member is always trying to make those around them better, I think of the Mayers. You all have done so much to lift up others, and I truly hope we can come together to support you up with our collective love for Cooper and for all of you. My heart is broken, and I am sending all my love. I wish I could be in California next weekend, but I will dip into the Atlantic to celebrate Cooper's spirit. May the love that surrounds you be as vast as his beloved ocean.

Dear Stephanie and family,
I am forever grateful that your son’s path and mine crossed in life. Getting to know him over the month we spent together was some of my fondest memories of that time in my life. He cared deeply about everyone, was always there to cheer you up or give you a pep talk. He was always making all of us laugh and see the brighter side of difficult situations. There will always be a special place in my heart for Coop and for your whole family.

My heart goes out to the Mayer family. There is nothing I can say other than I am so incredibly sorry for your loss and I hope you reach out for anything you might need.

Our hearts are broken alongside yours with the news of the tremendous loss of Cooper. What a deep and precious spirit gone too soon and yet it is so clear he touched and will continue to touch so many with all of his legacies. Just last week, I found 2 of "Coop's Hoops" in our shed and was chuckling about his early entrepreneurial skills! There are no words adequate enough other than this truly sucks and we love you dearly. As you have always showed up for others in crisis, so will we as your village and community uphold you.
"perhaps they are not stars in the sky but rather openings where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are happy"-(Eskimo proverb) We are sorry to miss the Celebration of Life and will spread some yellow flowers at the Shore to connect with you and celebrate Coop. Love you all, Gina, Fred, Mere, Molly, Lindsay and Maggie Kornfeind
