Constance's obituary

Constance Soulard, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Bitteford, Maine on November 29, 1929, to Thomas and Angelina Frechette, Connie enjoyed 96 years of life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to her family and friends.

Connie was married to Victor Soulard on September 3, 1951. Together, they moved from Bitteford, ME, settling in Marina Del Ray, CA, in the mid-1950s. There, they raised their two daughters, Claudette and Suzanne. Connie and Victor shared countless memories until his passing in 1974, leaving a legacy of love and resilience that Connie carried forward. In California, she worked as a bookkeeper for Marriott. She would later move to Meridian, ID around 1990 to be closer to family.

Connie was known for her strong will, independence, and cheerful laugh. She loved spending time with friends and family, whether that be through traveling, card games, dancing, mahjong, and visits to Jackpot, NV. Connie's nurturing spirit and unwavering faith were the cornerstones of her life. She was a welcoming presence, always ready with a listening ear and grounded advice. Her home was a gathering place filled with warmth and laughter, where stories were shared, and memories were made.

Preceded in death by her husband Victor Frechette and daughter Claudette Davis, Connie leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her devoted daughter Suzanne Held; cherished grandchildren Jen Movius-Held, Eric Held, Brian Davis, Paula Street, James Davis, Joseph Reagan, and her great-grandchildren.

Connie Soulard's legacy is one of love, perseverance, and faith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
