She could be very bossy. Chris and I performed in her backyard plays staged for our parents but only minor parts. The spotlight was on her and I will miss her all the rest of my days.

Connie and I knew each other nearly our entire lives.... Having fun at Camp Dewitt in third grade... Walking down to the stream and throwing stones into it and getting our feet wet! Laughing and singing Girl Scout songs with our friends.
Later, as adults, we often went for walks together and would have lunch together, enjoying each other's company!
When Con was residing in Lambertville, Christine and I took Con to Bowman's restaurant in New Hope. None of us had been there before that night but wow did we have a great time. Con and I were trying to figure out if we could replicate some of the dishes we had when we would return home and we spent the night sharing memories from our pasts and laughing about the good times. I can still see the smile on her face and hear her laughter every time I think about it.
Our father the game warden passed along his love for the Ken Lockwood Gorge . Con spent countless hours there reading, doing her puzzles, or sharing picnics and walks with family. There was always lots of laughter and love!!
Connie was recovering from her heart problem and Devon had come down to help. We were coming back from the local Quick Check, heading towards 1st avenue when we heard a voice yell: "Hey You!". We turned around, and there was Connie, with a mischievous grin on her face and Devon looking at her with comical disbelief saying: "Hey you? from MY sister?!" Connie had seen us and shouted to get our attention in a totally unexpected way! We all broke out laughing, in the middle of the parking lot!
Aunt Con started my appreciation and love for both oil lamps and French pressed coffee. I remember visiting and at every dinner there would be a beautiful oil lamp either on the table as the center piece or on a side table providing a warm glow. Coffee would be served afterwards using the French press and I just remember how good it tasted, so good that I got my own French press and have used it every day for the last 13 years. I also keep an oil lamp on the table to be reminded of Con and her warm glow that she bestowed upon all of us that had the pleasure of being apart of her life.
A Formal Christmas Holiday party at the Coffin Home. The house was decorated for Christmas, the girls were all beautiful in their formal dress and the guys were in tuxes or military uniforms. We were all 20-somethings, looking like a scene from a British WWI romance novel, which pleased Connie no end!
Our second “flip-flop” year. At 26 and 62 she was my we wandered NYC talking about history and cake decorating techniques and saw Cirque du soleil! (At 15 and 51 we had seen Jekyll and Hyde 😁) It was just a really good day.
