Conrad was my French teacher from 1962 to 1964 at New Bedford High school. He was also my neighbor only living one block from my home on Shaw st...His classes were captivating..and inspired my dream to be a French teacher which I accomplished 5 years later to teach French in my former homeroom In 1969..I taught French for 34 years..but I lost touch with him and Muriel..until I just found this article..my thoughts and prayers are with Muriel and her children...we had several things in common besides our favorite language..I neverexceeded his talent but I emulated in my teaching techniques. We had fun. Learning was a pleasure..and I always did the best I could to make it enjoyable..I even bought a Mardi Gras cake from
Louisiana delivered to my class on Mardi Gras Tuesday..the kids never forgot that lesson. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and on one Vacation with my wife in the 70's..we went to Valley forge and parked ne t to a car in the lot..Conrad and Muriel were in that car..Rest in Peace Conrad you were a giant in education..sorry we didn't keep in touch..l owe my career to you..God Bless..
George Biscari..
