One of my favorite memories of Aunt Connie was when she taught Johnni and I to make tortas ❤️ I recently called her and asked her for the recipe again which she replied “you should have written it down!” and refused to give it to me again 😂 I tried to make them without her recipe and they were trash!!  I will always cherish her for being so stubborn and I’m truly glad she didn’t just give up the recipe again! Now I’ll have to spend the next many years looking for the notecard I wrote on when I was 10 or perfecting my own version of her tortas. 😂 

Thank you for always lovingly keeping me in line, always being yourself, and passing on traditions to me and the cousins. Love you forever Aunt Connie ❤️
