Connie's obituary
Connie Colleen Ragsdale passed away peacefully inside her home, in SouthEast Portland Oregon, at the age of 63 years young on March 24th 2025.
Born into the Culver Family on September 9th 1961 In Portland Oregon, she led a fruitful childhood with tons of memories. Whether it was Jerry (brother) chasing her around the house and Jack (Oldest brother) having to settle them down or Connie trying to learn from her Dad Jene on how to cook or getting advice and guidance from her Mom Colleen. She remembered all of this like it was yesterday. Her roots lay here in a city she was Born/Raised/Passed away in.
She would meet Scott James Ragsdale and they married on Dec 16th 1985. Out of this marriage were born 2 sons, Kenny (born 1987) and Cory Ragsdale (born 1990)
In 1988 she would start working where her Mother Colleen had which was Fred Meyers off of 82nd and King rd at the time. She would work there for 37 years until she passed.
During middle years of her life she would prove her resilience time after time after time, with her multiple back surgeries. With a majority of this time being the sole or main provider of the family she would persevere and continue to work there and make sure her family was taken care of. Then later in life overcoming her stomach exploding and another major surgery, still forging ahead. The traits I will always remember.
She made so many friendships with her years on Earth. From childhood friends and family, to coworkers and customers and also her community at the apartment complex she lived in. It was always easy for her to cultivate these relationships with people.
Truly a great and very much loved Mother, Sister, Daughter, Grandmother.
She is survived by her Brothers Jack and Jerry Culver Sister Hazel Culver O'Conner Sons Kenny and Cory Ragsdale Grandchildren Isaac and Elijah Esser, Scotty and Skyler Ragsdale.
She will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery beside her husband Scott. There will be a celebration of life taking place at Samaritan lodge #2 in Milwaukie OR on 4/18 beginning at 3:30pm and ending at 6:30pm.
